3 ingredient Nutella Cupcakes

You really got to love this 3 ingredient Nutella Cupcakes recipe. The cupcakes are  so perfectly soft and fluffy with a slightly crispy crust, almost like a brownie texture. With no added eggs, butter or oil and prepared and baked in 20 minutes, this has become one of our favorite dessert recipes.

This is my easiest cupcake recipes, made with just 3 ingredients and mixed in one bowl, it is really a quick  bake. These little cupcakes are so good with a scoop of ice cream or drizzled with chocolate or nutella, making it such an easy dessert.

Using nutella as an ingredient in baking is so sinfully delicious  like with my recipe for nutella filled donuts, a delicious favorite as well. It gives that creamy hazelnut deliciousness to all the bakes. These cupcakes are no different, and with just 3 ingredients, nutella being the main flavouring you can be pretty sure that the taste of the hazelnut is definitely going to the most prominent.

By the way, if you do not have nutella, then any brand of hazelnut or chocolate spread will work just fine as well.

Making the Nutella cupcakes

3 ingredient Nutella Cupcakes

In a medium-sized bowl, add in self-raising flour, Nutella and buttermilk. Mix until combined and fill up to ¾ into cupcake liners.

Bake in a preheated oven of 350°F / 180°C for 15 minutes.

When baked, remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.

Drizzle with melted chocolate or warm a tablespoon of Nutella in the microwave until soft and drizzle over the cupcakes. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream if you prefer.

Just 3 ingredients, prepared and baked in 20 minutes, these are definitely one of my favorite quick bakes.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 cup / 280g Nutella SEE NOTE 1
  • 1 cup / 120g self-raising flour
  • ½ cup / 125ml buttermilk

Method
 

  • Fill cupcake liners to three-quarters full and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the centres spring back when lightly pressed.
  • When baked, remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.
  • Drizzle with melted chocolate or warm a tablespoon of Nutella in the microwave until soft and drizzle over the cupcakes. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream if you prefer.
