Jump to Recipe

Relax with a mug of this 5 minute Spicy Chai Latte, caffeine free, it makes the perfect evening drink. Taking just 5 minutes to prepare, it is great to drink, either hot or cold.

5 minute Spicy Chai Latte

Lattes are such comforting beverages, but the price of these drinks at coffee shops are so ridiculously expensive. Since I love homemade everything, this latte is no different. Plus I can enjoy it as often as I like and at a fraction of the coffee shop prices.

This latte is perfect to drink either hot or cold. Either way it is super delicious and perfect for any day.

Really easy and quick to whip up, this recipe uses just 6 ingredients and a blender used to combine everything together and create a frothy bubbly latte.

5 minute Spicy Chai Latte

Making the spicy chai latte

Let me start by saying...Absolute minimal dishes were used in the making of this latte. Lol,  to me that is music to my ears. Since I am the only dishwasher in a family of 4, the words minimal washing up brings joy to my heart.

Besides minimal dishes, there are also just 6 ingredients used in this recipe.

All the ingredients are mixed into one pot and heated on the stove.

Taste the mixture first

Taste the mixture before you place it onto the stove and add the sugar accordingly.

You might want it more or less sweet, so add the sweetener to your preference. In this recipe, I found the addition of two teaspoons of sugar or honey perfect. But feel free to adjust this amount.

Place the pot with the milk mixture on the stove and just heat it until warm.

Avoid creating a latte volcano

Avoid boiling the milk, because after it is heated, it will be poured into the blender.

Trapping very hot liquid inside of a blender and hitting the “on” button creates steam and pressure inside that could cause the lid blowing off and the liquid exploding everywhere.

Do not overfill the blender

Pour the warmed milk mixture into the blender. Do not overfill the blender, the mixture should be just at the halfway mark of your blender.

If you do double or triple the recipe, then make sure that you divide the mixture and blend it in separate batches, not all at once.

If you overfill the blender, the milk is just going to overflow and create a huge mess.

Pour the blended latte into mugs or cups. Leave for a few seconds and watch the magical frothy bubbles appear. Sprinkle a bit of cinnamon over the latte if you like.

Curl up on the sofa, relax and enjoy your delicious homemade spicy latte.

Enjoy ♥
